Firstly, the formal assignment is a 1500 word report on the specific topic which you presented during tutorials. The key to this report is to link the core theory/key business topics from the lecture to the case study. This module is weighted 100% based purely on this assignment.

So for example, if you did your presentation in Week 4 – MNCs, the corresponding case study was DieBold ATM. The key topics from the lecture was FDI and entry modes, along with the FDI theories Dunning OLI and Uppsala. In this specific case you should include these theories and topics from the lecture in your report, and illustrate how the case study is a real world application of these theories/topics - i.e. Diebold used different entry modes during its international expansion e.g. exporting (initially), then JV, and then M&A as it became more experienced.

Thus, essentially the report requires that you write about the key relevant international business elements from the lecture, while simultaneously using the case study as the example to illustrate and explain these core concepts. Essentially, you want to show how these elements (from lecture) can affect/influence the international business environment and decision making (from case study).
