This assessment is a 3000-word annotated bibliography. There are two sections, Section A and Section B.
Section A
You need to find four different pieces of evidence.
Choose just one of the following subject areas to be the focus for your four pieces of evidence:
- Continuity of Carer
- Nutrition and pregnancy
- Alcohol and pregnancy
1. Systematic review (250 words)
One systematic review. You should present a full reference for the systematic review using the Harvard referencing format as your subheading and a summary that details the following:
- an explanation of what a systematic review is (with a reference)
- the question this systematic review is asking
- how many primary research articles are in this systematic review
Your systematic review must be related to your profession and it might be related to the chosen subject area.
2. Qualitative research article (500 words)
One qualitative primary research article. You should present a full reference for the journal article using the Harvard referencing format as your subheading and then a summary that details the following:
- The type of qualitative research methodology used
- Where the research was conducted
- The research question or aim of the research
- How many participants were involved and how they were recruited
- How the data were collected and analysed
- Summarise the key findings
3. Quantitative research article (500 words)
One quantitative primary research article. You should present a full reference for the article using the Harvard referencing format as your subheading and then a summary that details the following:
- The type of quantitative research methodology used
- Where the research was conducted
- The research question or aim of the research
- How many participants were involved and how they were recruited
- How the data were collected
- Summarise the key findings
4. Clinical guideline (250 words)
One clinical guideline. You should present a full reference for the clinical guideline using the Harvard referencing format and then a summary that details the following:
- Who has produced the clinical guideline
- The purpose of the clinical guideline
- The range of evidence used to inform the guideline
