Assessment Task:
A written assignment critiquing the determinants of inequality in a defined population and how the inequality can be redressed
Assessment Guidance: Choose ONE of the following population areas: Write an essay answering the questions below:

In your response, please take note of the following guidance
Use a standard essay format of introduction, (300 words) main body (2,400) and conclusion (300 words)
Your essay should demonstrate a clear understanding of the determinants of inequality and their application to your named population/community group.
In your essay, you MUST critically apply the principles and theoretical perspective of social justice to analyse the provisions of health and social care, focused on your target population/community group
Support all discussion with relevant evidence e.g. examples, explanations, data. This should come from a range of additional quality academic sources including the core reading list that are correctly cited and referenced.

For resits there are no allowances for late submissions.

Additionally, economic disadvantage disproportionately affects people living with HIV. They often face higher healthcare costs due to the lifelong need for antiretroviral therapy (ART) and regular medical check-ups. People with Disabilities
People with disabilities encounter numerous health inequalities resulting from structural barriers within the healthcare system.
