As you work through the case study you will need to position yourself as a Team Leader within Rentals NZ Ltd.
You are required to write a simple REPORT based on the questions below that describe effective leadership approaches and communicative techniques you would use to build effective and productive relationships with your team members.
The minimum word count for the report is 2500 words. Use the report template provided to respond to the following:
1. Leadership Traits. Describe three leadership traits that could be applied to work best with each group of workers. (10 marks)
2. Communication Methods. Identify two communication methods you would use to build your relationships and describe how you would you apply these communication methods to gain feedback in order to know that you are building effective workplace relationships. (10 marks)
3. Motivational Strategies Discuss which strategies you would use to motivate and involve each team so they can achieve the objectives of the organization. (10 marks)
4. Challenges Refer to the teams in the Rentals NZ Ltd scenario and identify the three challenges that are apparent. Describe how you would address these challenges whist adhering to the policies and procedures of the organisation. Describe how you would manage these to promote an inclusive environment. (10 marks)
5. Leadership Styles Discuss how you would adapt your own leadership styles to lead each team more effectively. Include at least 5 leadership styles and explain how you would apply them using the Rentals NZ Ltd scenario or examples from your own workplace.
Assessment 1 Part B
Option 1: Rentals NZ Ltd Scenario (Part B) To complete Assessment 1 Part B you are required to apply the knowledge you have gained in coursework and your own experiences to Rentals NZ Ltd, Scenario Part B.
In Part B the scenario evolves – you will therefore need to use the information from Scenario Part A and Part B in order to answer the following questions. As in Part A, you are positioned as Team Leader.
