Assessment Scenario
For this assignment, you have recently joined a Fintech organisation (of your choice) as the new Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) , responsible for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) geographical business activities. Financial technology – fintech for short – refers to the interaction of financial services with new technology. As the CINO, you will also help optimise business processes, such as selling, marketing, communications, collaboration, and innovation. All digital transformation and change management efforts would also fall under the chief transformation officer.
As part of your new role, the senior board have tasked you to produce a “Technology and Innovation Report `` designed to evaluate and recommend changes that the organisation must implement by means to maintain a competitive edge in a dynamic market.
This is your opportunity to demonstrate your capability and give your employer the confidence to let you run your own project in the future. Your report must include the following sections:
Task 1: Opportunities and Challenges Review (LO1)
Critically review on key opportunities and challenges your chosen Fintech organisation are facing catalogues in the current complex digital disruption environment.
Your analysis for Task 1 should be critical - you can include some digital transformation initiatives that can support key departments such as operation, ICT, and marketing.
Task 2: Digital Business Agility Model (LO2)
Evaluate and propose three (3) disruptive technologies and techniques that can be adopted by your chosen organisation by means to sense changes, make informed decisions, and adjust quickly in highly disruptive market.
Please use the Digital Business Agility Model (i.e., hyperawareness, make informed decisions and execute fast) as a blueprint for your Task 2 – see the diagram below. Some key emerging technologies to consider are, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, 5G Connectivity, Computer Vision, Extended Reality etc.

When implemented purposefully, digital culture can drive sustainable action and create value for all stakeholders.
