A business case study analysis requires you to investigate a business problem, evaluate alternative strategies, and recommend the most effective strategy using supporting evidence from scholarly information sources.
You should select a business or organisation that has clearly identifiable core capabilities and activities, and processes that are essential to driving their business strategy from different perspectives such as commercial, customer, market, societal, etc. You may select your current workplace or an organisation that has some significance to you. If you are not currently associated with a workplace or organisation, you may select a company or organisation you are interested in, one you hope to start, or one that has been reported recently in the media.
Business Case Study
The case study may be structured however you think will best present your analysis. However, you should address the following sections:
Introduction Identify the business problem and core competencies you will explore in the case study.
Description of the Organisation Describe the sector and industry your selected organisation operates in, their activities, key products and services, and customers.
Describe how the core capabilities are being used, developed and maintained, and their links to a wider business strategy.
